What if I have not yet booked a hotel?

Are your private tour guides and drivers licensed?
“Hop in Sightseeing” cares about services provided.

  • The drivers in Greece are professional and licensed by the Ministry of Transport.
    The drivers on the tourism business speak some English.
  • The tour guides in Greece are professional and must be licensed and qualified from the Greek National Tourism Organization.

Our drivers and guides will do their utmost to make your visit a memorable experience.

May I have an escort instead of tour guide?
The group escorts are non licensed guides and they are prohibited to guide and enter in archaeological sites and museums.
We do not suggest a tour escort unless you requested.

May I have a driver to guide me in town?
Drivers speak some English and do not have the knowledge to guide. Also, in archaeological sites and museums drivers are prohibited to guide.
You can have a private tour with a driver just to drive you around the highlights of town (on different price).

Are your coaches in good quality?
“Hop in Sightseeing” is sensitive with quality and safe transportation standards.

  • All our buses are non smoking, fully air conditioned and licensed.
  • Tourist coaches in Greece are licensed as “tourist coach” by the Greek government at the time they get their licensed plates and they must pass from mechanical test every year from the Ministry of Transportation. Otherwise they can not be on the road.

What size are your buses?
The size of our buses is: 12, 16, 20, 31, 49, 74 seats.

We are 2 persons. What size of bus do you suggest?
We suggest an air conditioned car with driver and Professional guide for your private tour.
If you are more you need to book a minibus of 12 seats.

Can I change an option on one of your suggested private tours?
Yes you can! These tours are suggested itineraries that are popular that we selected from our customer preferences and our experience over the years. Those programs can be altered and customized to your wishes.

Prices
Our prices on private tours are per group including transportation needs and Professional guide. All extra charges are mentioned on each tour.

What is the tipping policy?
Tips are accepted and are left to the discretion of the clients.

Is the tax included on your prices?
All our given prices on the website and on our answers via e-mail are total and include taxes, unless specified.

Do you speak Spanish?
In our operation department we speak English and Greek at the moment.

Can I make an online booking?
At the moment, we do not have online booking system.

Is a credit card required when making bookings?
We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

  • A credit card is required when making bookings (must be valid at the day of the tour).
    We send you an authorization form which you feel in, sign in and send it to us with a copy of  a credit card holder’s ID.
  • In case you do not feel safe to give the credit card details then you can pay through Secure Payment Site of Piraeus Bank / Easy Pay (click here)

How do I hold an option for my tour?
There are five ways to hold an option:

  • Calling at: +30 210 4285500.

Options are usually at least 20 days before the date of the tour / service.
Immediate payment is not required. After the option date you will be provided with payment instructions in order your booking to be confirmed.
Expired options will be released automatically from our booking system.

What details do I need to confirm my tour?
There are three easy ways to book:

  • Send us an email with the following necessary details: Full name, Number of persons, Tour, Date of tour and your Mobile phone number with country code.

In any case E-Voucher will be sent to your email.

How can I pay for my reservations?
We offer you the following 4 ways of payment:

After the payment your E-Voucher will be sent to your email.

Will I receive a confirmation?
When the payment will be done in one of the ways we state above then you will receive your E-Voucher by email with all tour / service details: Name of the tour, Number of persons, Pick up point and Time, Way of payment and Our contact details.

Can I have a receipt?
Our email voucher is only an exchange order of your tour. You can have a receipt upon service.

How long is the tour?
The length of each tour is shown on the page of our web site under the heading “Schedule details”.

Does this tour / service include a meal?
Some of the private tours do not include meals.
Please check the details of each tour where lunch is available as an option.

Can you accommodate passengers in wheelchairs?
Wheelchair facilities are available for some services.
However, passengers in a wheelchair can be accommodated on tours only if they can get on and off the tour vehicle on their own.
The wheelchair must be foldable.
The driver is not permitted to assist handicapped persons due to insurance restrictions.
Please specify in the “Your Message” box on the Order Form if anyone is handicapped and the nature of the handicap.
We will make special arrangements where possible and will advise if there are any issues.

Why haven’t I received a reply to my emails to you?
Some email Internet providers can mark general emails such as those sent from us as “spam.” Please check your spam folder for previous email replies.
If you have your spam filter set on the highest ranking, only emails from senders in your address box will go into your inbox.
Any other emails (such as replies from Internet sites you have booked on) will go into a “spam” folder. These emails can sit in this folder for up to 7 days, and then your email system will automatically delete them.
If you can’t locate our emails in your spam folder, please inform us.

Which is your cancellation policy?
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE CONFIRMED BY “Hop in SIGHTSEEING s.a”

  • No cancellation fees will be charged if written cancellation is received 20 days or more prior to departure date.
  • Full cancellation fees will incur for tours / services cancelled 72 hours (3 days) prior to departure.
  • Full cancellation fees will incur for a non show.

“Hop in SIGHTSEEING s.a” reserves the right to cancel any tour / service at any time under the condition that fares paid will be returned to passengers that have paid said fares.
In such a case, every effort will be made to assist the passenger with alternative arrangements.

How can I find you at the Athens International Airport?
MEETING INSTRUCTIONS: After your landing, just follow the EXIT signs and walk outside the custom area, where our personnel will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it.
It can be that there will be a lot of people waiting for their friends or relatives or even other transfer companies. Therefore, please do not go away from the main exit gate (inside the airport). Look carefully and you will see our personnel holding the shield with your name on it. In case it is difficult to find each other please call us at +30 210 4285500 (we operate from 06:30 am till 10:00 pm) and we will locate them for you.

How can I find you at Piraeus Port in Cruise Terminal?
Piraeus port has two cruise terminals. Terminal A & Terminal B.
Either your ship arrives at Terminal A or Terminal B, follow these meeting instructions carefully:
disembark and walk outside the main gate passing by the custom area on each terminal and look for our personnel who will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it.
Be patient because at the same time +1000 people are passing by the same gate.
If you have any problems meeting our personnel please call us at +30 210 4285500 (we operate from 06:30 am till 10:00 pm) and we will locate them for you.

I have left something in the vehicle. How do I get it back?
Please contact us as fast as possible (before the bus get another group) at +30 210 4285500. We will then endeavor to have the items returned to you.
A charge may be applicable (if we use taxi).
